What’s the book about?

Thymine's twelfth birthday is just two days away, and everything is about to change. Because of her genetic mishap, she has to leave her brother and parents behind and move to XY, a city for the Genetically Modified (Mods). Coming from a Gentruic (Gens) background, Thymine finds it hard to fit into this new world with its strange rules and customs.

In this new place, Thymine's journey is all about finding where she belongs. With the help of her best friend, Polylinker, Thymine starts to feel at home among the Mods. Poly’s jokes and bold ideas make life fun and help Thymine through tough times.

But just as Thymine is getting used to her new life, she hears bad news: life for the Gens is getting harder, and they are struggling to survive. The balance of power is shifting, and it threatens to break the fragile peace between the Gens and Mods.

Can the Gens change their ways to survive? And can Thymine, caught between two worlds, find a way to save her family from afar?
